An open topped pie made from locally sourced cheese, potatoes, onions, a hint of garlic and herbs, the Homity Pie has a history that dates back to the efforts of the intrepid ‘land girls’ of the Second World War. There are three alternatives; Mature Cheddar cheese, Stilton or Dorset Blue Vinny. An ideal option for vegetarians.
Another speciality pie is the unique Dorset Fidget, which comprises locally produced Gammon with onions in a cider, apple and sage sauce.
